It's been all over the web and the newspapers too so i thought i'll write it in here as well!!Yes, its absolutely true , the Internet would run out of ip addresses in three years time..2011 ain't far away . Time flies like anything!!It's been said that 85 per cent of the world's ip addresses are in use.. So there's only 15 per cent left.Looking at the growth in technology and the number of people getting new broadband connections everyday three years can be 2 1/2 years too.. Well everybody knows the solution move to ipv6.Right now as well all know we are using ipv4 . for example x.x.x.x .. Now isp's need to switch over to ipv6 . This would provide an infinite number of addresses which would not cause problems.THe ISP'S got to act fast. Moving to ipv6 is no joke. It takes a lot of time and planning!!With so many people joining the ipv4 network things can get slower too.It may take time to load webpages..The whole internet could slow down!!It could be difficult to handle!!It's all in the ISP's hands, they need to start thinking!!The reason i guess they are hesitating in doing so is because of the costs involved. But they have to do it in the end!!I dont think there's any way out!!
Many government organisations have already implemented ipv6 including china and japan.I cant wait to see whats going to happen and how they plan to switch over!!Its going to be real fun!!Lets wait and watch!!
