How To Enable Surround Sound In Linux

Many linux users seem to be having problems in getting surround sound to work in linux.People with 5.1,7.1 surround systems seem to be getting audio output from only 2 speakers.This is mostly because pulseaudio by default uses only two channels, so it is required that you edit certain files and change the channel settings from the default one to the one you have.
