BSNL to Offer Iphone With 3G by December 2008

BSNL supposedly has planned to bring in the Iphone this december .Since BSNL is launching it, Im definetly hoping that the prices would be way cheaper compared to the 30k offered by airtel and vodafone.The best part of this is that they are planning to roll out 3g as well with the iphone which i think makes perfect sense.
So many mobile phone brands have 3g enabled phones, infact many of us do have 3g phones but its of no use.So hopefully they would come to use when bsnl launches their 3g service making them the only 3g provider in india.Im sure 3g technology coming to India would be a major boon , such high speed data access on a mobile phone will take it to a totally different level, the use of phones would be more and infact many would tend to go with BSNL since their phones would be 3g compatible.The question is the price.Being new, the 3g service could be expensive.But BSNL has always been very realistic with the prices , so im really hoping for a good deal.
There are also rumours that the iphone would be sold for 22k through BSNL.If true, im sure it would drop down to within 20k by the next year.Well lets hope for the best!!!
