Things are not going too well for Airtel now a days!!Atleast after they announced their new set of plans which has caused a major protest by all airtel broadband users in India . And why not?? If Airtel being such a reputed ISP known for quality and customer service does something as ridiculous as this then definetly this is something that is to be expected . Airtel has done 2 blunders at one go . Firstly they revised their Unlimited Plan Rates i.e. not decreased the rates but increased them and secondly they have introduced a speed cap where speeds are reduced after you cross a certain quota of usage.
First Blunder : Increased Rate For Unlimited Plans
As mentioned earlier Airtel Has increased the rate for their Unlimited Plans.Firstly , Airtel has removed all other Unlimited plans except the 256kbps and 384kbps unlimited plans.
256kbps unlimited plan was first Rs 799 per month and now it costs Rs 899 per month
384kbps unlimited plan was first Rs 999 per month and now it costs Rs 1199 per month
So definetly an increase in the prices and no more 512kbps and 1mbps unlimited plans!!:(
Second Blunder : Speed Caps
This is the second blunder and by far the biggest . I mean first of all unlimited plans have such low download/upload speeds and now they decide to limit that as well. Yes thats true , the moment you reach a certain quota you find a speed limitation . Like this :
For the Rs999 plan - 384kbps UNLIMITED plan
Download Speed Till 25GB usage - 384kbps
Download Speed After 25GB usage - 256kbps
So as you can see , after you cross the 25GB limit your speed reduces by 128kbps and becomes 256kbps , what the hell is that??
My Impressions :
Well i think its clear that everyone including me is pretty upset with what Airtel has done . Both their decisions are ridiculous!!This is a major set back as now other ISP's like BSNL would also want to increase their rates this could lead to a major drawback for broadband development in India . India is already lagging way behind when it comes to broadband speeds. Other countries have way better speeds at a much better price . So this is definetly not done!!
I really hope Airtel does something about this!!I'm sure they should be knowing by now that their customers are mad at them!!!So spread the word the more the people protest the faster airtel will respond!!Cheers..

airtel is a chuuuut company. saale choor hain. if i meet that fucking bitch who owns it, i wont say i word, i ll beat the mother fucker till he bleeds for a while and then i ll torture him for a few days and then give him a few days break and repeat the process. fucking moron that gawaar is, he doesnt deserve to live, and frankly now i dont care if airtel improves or not, i ll just torture him anyways and broadcast it live on airtel ip tv!!!! so all the morons will know the fate that awaits them!!! judgement day shall arrive and all shall pay for their sins!!!

I applied for a broadband connection.
While filling form that fucking airtel agent told will get connection in 3 days.
If it is Reliance or Tata will get connection in a day.
hmm... ok... 3days....
After 3days also there is no response from Airtel.
I called my agent to ask about its atatus.
He was not picking my call.
Then i wrote a letter to care.tamilnadu@airtel.in & nodel officer
I wait for their response.
But there was no use of that.
Next day many times i called my agent to get connection...
He picked up my call and said some problems....
Connection will give on tomarrow...
I told no! i want today itself or cancel my request...
He told ill give you manager mobile number.
ok....
I called his manager..
And started a conferrence with manager and agent.
Finally they told please wait for a day also.
hmmmm.... I told ok.
Next day.....
I started calling that agent....
Same response...
Not picking my call...
I have tried arround 6 hours...
He picked one of my call and talked me roughly...
That was 'Today also cant give connection'
I called his manager... he told wait..
let me check with him
i told ...ok
after 30 minutes i have tried to reach that manager...
he switched off his mobile....
This is the current status of Airtel broadband connection............
No Time sense....
Fucking customer service....
