Gmail Drive is a very neat application which helps you utilize the inbox size of your gmail account as an online storage drive . This can be pretty helpful incase you wish to instantly upload some files and access it somewhere else using your email account . So here's more on that :

Gmail Drive basically acts as another drive in your computer . Once you install gmail drive and go to My Computer , you will notice another Drive called the Gmail Drive like the C drive and D drive etc . THen all you need to do , is open that drive and transfer files to it just like how you do to any other drive. So here's how you install it :

Step 1 : Go to THIS LINK and download Gmail Drive

Step 2 : Extract the zip file

Step 3 : Run the Setup file

Step 4 : Open my computer and go to Gmail Drive

Step 5 : Now login with your gmail username and password

Step 6 : Thats it , Now add files as you wish!!

Step 7 : Now login to your gmail account by going to www.gmail.com you should see the file you just uploaded in your inbox as an attachment

CREATE A FILTER ( OPTIONAL )
Incase you find yourself uploading a LOT of files to your gmail drive , then obviously your inbox would be FULL of these emails with attachments , as each file you upload would popup as an email with attachment . What you could do , is FILTER these emails so that they skip your inbox and get archived ( Which will be seen in the SENT EMAIL folder ) . So here' show you do that :

Step 1 : LOgin to your gmail by going to www.gmail.com and click on SETTINGS on the top bar

Step 2 : Now click on Filters

Step 3 : Then click on Create A New Filter

Step 4 : Now under Subject enter GmailFS , because all emails that enter your inbox from gmail drive WILL have GmailFS written in the subject , so this can be used to FILTER

Step 5 : Click on Next Step
Step 6 : Then select Skip the inbox . You can additionally select other options if you prefer that , like Star it Forward it etc

Step 7 : Now click on Create Filter

Step 8 : Thats it , the next time you upload a file to gmail drive it will not show in your inbox , but it will show under Sent Emails
