As mentioned earlier in my previous posts i think having one software which allows you to connect to multiple chat servers is cool.PIDGIN which recently introduced its new version is getting better by the day.Pidgin supports a lot of protocols including yahoo, gtalk, aim, msn, rediff, irc etc etc etc.
One feature which i really required was the Auto Reply feature. The name says it all, Auto reply is a service wherein any person trying to chat with you when you are not around will get a message automatically saying that you are not around , please leave a message.Just like what an answering machine does.So here's how you set it up

Note:Assuming you already have Pidgin installed. If not download it from HERE

Step 1 : You first need to get the Plugin Pack. You can download it from HERE.Ensure that you download the DEB package.Download the one which says "Ubuntu 7.10 DEB i386 (0.18 MB) "
Step 2 : Once you have downloaded it.Just double click on the DEB file and click on Install Package
Step 3 : Once you have installed the page.Open pidgin and go to Tools->Plugins and ENABLE AutoReply 2.2.0
Step 4 : You can now configure Auto reply by clicking on Configure Plugin. You can configure the way you like it.

The Plugin pack has a lot of other useful plugins. You can see the full list HERE .

· Auto Accept 1
· Auto-rejoin (this was merged with IRC More in release 2.2.0)
