Many users wonder why Ubuntu sometimes Boots to BusyBox or even the LiveCd sometimes does that.There are two common reasons for this.
1)The Livecd is either damaged or corrupted
This could be because the live cd was either damaged or scratched.It could also be corrupted.Always burn the live cd(iso image) at a slow rate like 4x,8x or 12x .. Do not burn it at the maximum speed.To ensure your CD is alright you can run the check cd utility present in the boot menu of the live cd
2)Your PC does not meet the ubuntu system requirements
This is another common reason.You need atleast 256MB of RAM to run the live cd.So if your pc does not have that much RAM it boots to busybox.
