How to Install Telnet In Windows Vista

Microsoft has made telnet as an optional feature in windows vista.So you would need to go to control panel and enable it yourself if you want to use it.

Telnet is quite an important tool especially if you are used to the command prompt and used to typing commands and especially when your on a network which runs various services.Incase you require telnet in windows vista then here's how you install it :-

Step 1 : Go to Control Panel(Start->Control Panel)
Step 2 : Click on Programs from the default menu

Step 3 : Now click on "Turn Windows Features On or Off" as shown in the screenshot

Step 4 : A new window would pop up, Now check "Telnet Client" and Click on OK

Step 5 : Now the installation process would begin and the window would close automatically.

Step 6 : Now go to the command prompt and type telnet

Step 7 : You should now have Telnet Working Sucessfully
