When it comes to linux , there are plenty of distros, thousands of them. But not all of them are good to be frank , not all of them are used , not all of them function well enough. There are just a few distros which are on the top , which people always wait for . Fedora is one of them , well on top of the list . Fedora 10 is a pretty ancient distro, it has been there for years. Not all distros continue for such a long time, some stop releasing new versions, updates.Fedora on the other hand , is pretty active, they have a lot of versions, great support and a fabulous GUI.

Fedora 10 which released few days back , has been widely appreciated from what i have read on the internet.I havent yet been able to try out the OS, although i am in the process of downloading and installing it using vmware. I am a big fan of fedora , infact when i first moved to linux , way back in time , fedora was one of the distros i had tried.During those times i was uncertain what to try, there was no clear picture as to which distro leads , which distro is the best.So i picked my distro by trying a lot of them myself. Ofcourse now a days its pretty clear, if you look at the Ubuntu community itself, you'd get a clear idea. But Fedora isn't far behind.Their previous two releases have been fabulous.I have tried their previous versions and absolutely loved it.

They have tremindous creativity and wonderful ideas. Anybody who has tried fedora even once , would agree with me. I will hopefully be able to write more on Fedora 10 soon , after i try it out. I went through some of the new features which seem to be quite impressive. They have a decent community which is what i like. Not all distros have such a big following or such a great community.Ubuntu leads here again...
