Yet another bug in ubuntu 9.04 is the frequent wireless disconnections . Many users seem to be facing this issue at the ubuntuforums . In most of the cases , wireless was working perfectly in previous ubuntu versions . But the latest ubuntu seems to be causing wireless to disconnect randomly at certain intervals. Now this can get very annoying especially if you download large files frequently.
With this sort of bug , it would impossible to download large files . For some people using the oldest kernel version for ubuntu 9.04 seems to have fixed the issue . So if your running ubuntu 9.04 ensure that you choose the oldest kernel version you find while booting in grub . If this doesn't fix the issue , then you might have to downgrade to ubuntu 8.10 .

Well its not something surprising to see so many bugs in ubuntu 9.04 . This sort of thing happens after every new ubuntu version is released . It takes a few months for it to get stable . That is why it is not advised to immediately upgrade to the latest ubuntu version as soon as it is released.
