Microsoft Office On the Web

Microsoft will soon launch a web based version of their office suite . This is the first time their into something like this and its a clear competition for google's service known as Google Docs . This web based version would be based on the Latest office suite which is to be launched known as Office 2010.

THis version of microsoft office would be pretty much similar to google docs which had been launched a few years back.The best part of this is that this service would be absolutely FREE of cost , something very rare from Microsoft :) . So this service will include features like collaboration which can be pretty useful for a lot of people as many of us primarily use Microsoft office and hence using this service would be pretty easy.The public beta for the software should be released by the end of this year and a final product by the first half of 2010.

This move by microsoft would surely affect their business as it would cause a decline in their Office 2010 sales as many would prefer using the web-based version , but microsoft seems to be prepared for this. So let's hope for a neat service , i'm sure it would be an interesting one considering Microsoft Office to be a huge hit among the general public.
