IPKall - A Sort Of Alternative To Google Voice

I previously wrote on how you could you google voice to get a FREE USA number and get free unlimited incoming calls . But with google voice being in so much demand , it is pretty difficult for new users to get a google voice account easily as it sometimes takes weeks or even months to get an invite. In such cases , you could try out a service called IPKall which is similar to google voice with the exception that you cannot make any outgoing calls for FREE , unless your SIP provider gives any offer . IPKall is mainly for getting a FREE USA number connected to your SIP phone .So here's more on this :

Getting an IPKall account is way easier than getting a google voice account . You would get your number INSTANTLY , no waiting periods for weeks or months like in google voice . So here's what all you need to do :

Step 1 : Go to the IPKALL WEBSITE and register a new account.

Step 2 : You should have your account setup in no time.
Step 3 : Now login to your ipkall account


Step 4 : Now configure your account with any SIP Provider you wish . Here's a sample screenshot of ipkall being configured with a GIZMO account

Step 5 : Click on Update and thats it , your new FREE USA number should have been linked with your gizmo SIP address.

NOTE: IPKall has one disadvantage wherein , if your account is inactive for more than 30 days , it would be deleted . SO make sure you use it atleast once in a month !
