How To Extract RAR Files In Ubuntu

Ubuntu by default does not support extracting of RAR files . The Archive manager of ubuntu does not support RAR files , so you cannot directly extract a RAR file in Ubuntu . So here's how you do it :

Step 1 : Go to The Terminal ( Applications->Accessories->Terminal) and type sudo apt-get install unrar

Step 2 : Now allow the program to install
Step 3 : Once the program is installed , your done!! All you need to do now to extract a RAR file is to right click on the RAR file and click on EXTRACT HERE.
