How To Integrate Google Calendar Into Evolution In Ubuntu

This tutorial is for all ubuntu users who use google calendar . This tutorial would help you integrate google calendar in evolution so that it would be easier to manage your calendar instead of logging into the web interface all the time. So here is how you do it :

Step 1 : Open Evolution ( icon next to the firefox icon )

Step 2 : Now go to File->New->Calendar
Step 3 : Select Calendar type as google
Step 4 : Now Enter any calendar name, enter your google username , enter refresh time , select USE SSL,choose the required color and select Copy calendar contents locally for offline operation." and click on RETRIEVE LIST , now choose which calendar you want to integrate and then click on OK


Step 5 : YOu will now be asked to enter your password again

Step 6 : Now take a look at your calendar and you should see all the events

Step 7 : YOu can follow the above steps to add more calendars
Step 8 : If you click on the time and date section on the top right of your screen , you can see all your appointments in that list.


NOTE : Any changes you make in the calendar will reflect in the google calendar also .
