If you have an ADSL connection at home or office and you are experiencing frequent disconnections then its time you made a change to your telephone network setup.By this i mean you might need to change the telephone wiring in your home or office.Having your telephone cables wired incorrectly you could have a poor and weak connection to your modem enabling frequent disconnections.
What you need to do is simple!!Firstly connect the telephone cable coming from the telephone pole outside your home or office directly to your adsl splitter.Your adsl splitter is one which seperates the Telephone signals from the broadband signals. Then connect all your telephones to the telephone port of your splitter..
Connect your adsl modem to the adsl port of your splitter. This ensures that your adsl modem is getting the best signal possible.Hence you will get a good SNR which will prevent frequent disconnections in your adsl connection.
So the key point to this is NOT to add any telephones between the telephone cable from the pole(outside your home or office) to the splitter.. As doing so will reduce the SNR and will cause frequent disconnections..All the best!!!
