Welcome to the Third Carnival of Computer Help and Advice. Firstly, apologies for the late arrival of this carnival. This was due to the carnival owner being sick for much of this week. Secondly, a big 'thank you' to everyone who contributed. As ever there are only so many articles that can be included in the carnival each month, so please do not be offended if yours isn't one of them.

To start the carnival off this week, Andrew Edgington has published the third part of his Getting Started With Photoshop Free PDF Download at Learn Photoshop Now (The first two parts were featured in the last carnival). Andrew also offers advice on how to Edit Your Digital Photos - Top quality digital photography printing at home at his other site: Edit Your Digital Photos.

Next we have a couple of words of warning. AntigoBuzz at Computer Related Help & Articles advises you to Save Your Modem This Stormy Season, and Paul Wilcox, author of Security Manor, has noticed changes with Google Mail and suggests that you Check Your Gmail Spam Folder. On the subject of Google, AntigoBuzz also extols the virtues of the search engine for Free Computer Help at Computer Related Help & Articles.

Jose DeJesus MD has posted several Tips for People Considering a Mac or Macbook at Physician Entrepreneur, along with advice for Backing up your Data Painlessly (advice worth following; after all, he is a doctor).

Getting away from the Windows environment, Susan from Virtual Hosting tells us How to: Create a Linux Box for Your Mom (50+ Resources) . In a cross-platform survey old-wizard presents his Top 5 Web Browsers at Old-Wizard.com. With regard to web browsers, nim draws attention to a new kid on the block, the Avant Browser - secure web browser based on IE, at dixlinx.

Last up this month, productivity and speed are the focus. Mehmet lets us in on the 5 Powerful And Free Methods That I Use To Speed Up My PC as part of his Registry Fix Tips, and Kevin tells us How to quickly enter lists of numbers, dates and times in Excel on his blog: Bloody Computer!.

If you would like to submit an article for the next carnival or host a future carnival on your blog use the contact forms over at our Blog Carnival page.

More next month (hopefully on the scheduled day).
