How To Schedule A Connection When In Bridged Mode

This tutorial will help you schedule your internet connection to connect and disconnect at a specific time you wish.This can be used for bsnl users who have 2-8 am unlimited downloads.This is only for Bridged mode.In case of ppoe mode i have already written another tutorial.CLICK HERE to view it.So here's how you do it in bridged mode

Step 1 : Remember you need to set your modem in Bridged mode for this..If you havent done that yet, CLICK HERE

Step 2 : Open Notepad (Start->Run and type notepad) and insert the following command into it and save it as connect.bat (remember while saving in notepad enter filename as "connect.bat" with the quotes )
rasdial "BSNL" yourusername yourpassword
where "BSNL" is the name of your network connection

Step 3 : Open Notepad (Start->Run and type notepad) and insert the following command into it and save it as disconnect.bat (remember while saving in notepad enter filename as "disconnect.bat" with the quotes )
rasdial "BSNL" /disconnect
where "BSNL" is the name of your network connection

Step 4 : To make things more organized ensure that both these files are in the same folder say in c:\restartscripts

Step 5 : Now Go to control panel->scheduled tasks and create a new scheduled task called CONNECT and when it asks you which program you want to schedule, then browse to the connect.bat file and schedule it to run at 2:15am (to be on the safe side)
Step 6 : Again Go to control panel->scheduled tasks and create a new scheduled task called DISCONNECT and when it asks you which program you want to schedule, then browse to the disconnect.bat file and schedule it to run at 7:45am (to be on the safe side)
Step 7 : Thats it .. now you can freely download between 2-8am without being charged!!!
