Gmail Has A New Look

This comes as a big surprise from Google.I really wasn't expecting anything like this.Especially since the Gmail Look hadnt changed at all for many years compared to windows live mail (hotmail) which makes changes to their look quite often.So Gmail has added themes this time.So its not ONE look, its many looks and you can choose from that.At first, when i opened Gmail by typing www.gmail.com i was pretty surprised as the homepage itself has changed , so i started wondering whether i actually typed in the right address, cause i've never seen the gmail page so full of colours.

I suddenly thought it was some DNS problem and i was being taken to the wrong page, you know the recent DNS poisoning attack.But hey, jokes apart, it was indeed the Gmail page.So once you login to Gmail.You should see an alert right on top of the gmail page telling you about the Themes.Once you click on the "Themes Tab" link you will be redirected to a page full of themes.

Presently there are about 25 themes and i presume they would add a lot more themes later.Some of the themes are really cool and a great alternative compared to the same old boring GMAIL look.I mean everybody likes a change right!!


At the same time, there are a few themes, which look really kiddish , so watch out for them :-) . On the whole i think its a fabulous idea by Google to bring in Themes for your Email. Really refreshing to the mind and makes you want to read more mail :-) .
