Well almost everybody complains about slow downloading speed, especially when it comes to torrents.Ofcourse some tweaking is required depending upon your connection so that you get the best speed possible. Most of the tweaking can be done by oneself by pure experimenting, just try some random numbers, increase a bit , then decrease and you would finally get a good configuration.Anyways let me share my current utorrent configuration which is giving me some really good speeds since quite a lot of time . I had done this configuration through trial and error myself, i'm hoping it would come to some use.So here's my config :Before that, you must ensure that you have the required ports open.Usually any port above 10000 is recommended. If you are using the ppoe mode where your modem does the dialing, then you need to open ports in your router as well as your firewall, if you are using bridged mode or dialing mode, then you need to open ports in your firewall only.So here are some tutorials for that.
To Open Ports On your Router
1)If your router supports or has virtual server option then GO HERE
2)If your router does not have virtual server but has NAT-DMZ, then GO HERE

To Open Ports On your Windows Firewall, GO HERE

I would be posting screenshots of various utorrent settings pages , so i guess that would do instead of me manually typing in the value for each parameter..This works well for me , i am on a 2mbps connection.I'm hoping this would do well for you as well.If it doesnt you could try tweaking here and there by increasing or decreasing values.

hi Prashanth,
do you have 2Mbps connection,
wow thats really cool to download torrent.
what is the rate plan for 2 Mbps plan, i think you can get 2 Mbps in business plans right
is it 2 Mpbs plan in home plan?

Please tell me how to open the ports, when proxy server is used, where we cannot access router directly

well its upto 2mbps for home plans..But you do get around 1.6-1.8mbps constant speed..
In a proxy server environment, you do need access to the router and the proxy server to enable ports. It gets a bit complicated!!You need to bridge and stuff..

Well you technically won't get the full 2mbps , and the speed also depends upon the number of seeds etc.. your current speed shows that you've forwarded ports and stuff.. i dont think there is much you can do.. anything above 160-170 is a decent speed for a 2mbps line
